本课适合5岁以上，家中有一定中文环境，能用中文进行简单日常对话的小朋友们。《马立平中文教材》学前班的安排，是通过儿歌教授汉字，使得初学汉字的一年级学生很容易入门。建议家中没有中文环境，不能听懂或会说简单日常中文的小朋友们注册CTE-1。

Class Introduction

CTE-K(<6): This class is specifically designed for children in a non-native Chinese environment, 36 books with easy-to-read scripts and vivid illustrations that make learning Chinese fun and natural. Students will learn over 150 words covering 22 topics from a child's world, like family, friends, food, animals, home, school and more.

CTE-1(>=6): This course is designed for entry level Chinese students. Students will learn 80 commonly used words and related grammar patterns. They will be able to understand and use some of the most common Chinese phrases and sentences, possessing the ability to further their Chinese language studies.

CTE-2: Students will learn 150 commonly used words and related grammar patterns. They will be able to understand and use some simple Chinese phrases and sentences as well as engage in basic communications.

CTE-3: Students will learn 300 commonly used words and related grammar patterns. They will be comfortable hearing short sentences and answering basic questions about themselves and engaging in short conversations on familiar daily topics.

CTE-5: Students will learn 600 common words and related grammar patterns. Students are able to carry out basic communication tasks about life, study, and work, reaching an excellent level in basic Chinese.

This course is designed for entry level adult students. Students will learn 150 new words, related grammar, as well as the Pinyin pronunciation system which will enable students to meet basic communication needs and gain the ability to further their Chinese language studies.

This class is designed to help prepare students for upper-level middle school math contests, such as MATHCOUNTS Chapter and State rounds, the AMC8, early parts of the AMC10, etc. We will cover the 4 major areas, namely algebra, geometry, number theory, and counting and probability throughout the year, with a focus on improving our problem-solving ability for harder contests. The target age range is 7th-8th graders, though younger and older students may still be able to benefit from this class.

Davin Yin is a junior at Fairview high school. He is an experienced math athlete, having participated in MathCounts, AMC 8/10, UNC, and ARML. He's the 1st place in MathCounts Boulder Chapter and 6th place in MathCounts State in 2020. He has qualified for AIME since middle school and got the perfect score in UNC math contest in 2021. He loves to solve math problems and would like to have fun with compassionate math kids. Looking forward to having a good year with you at the MathCounts classes.

This class is designed to improve a student’s understanding and quality of Chinese traditional dance, as well as introduce new beginners to the practice. We will work on the class’s flexibility, technique and fundamentals, new skills, as well as learn a group dance. The course is adaptive, and will take the skill level of the student and go on from there.

Please make sure the dancer’s hair is in a bun, and that they wear clothes that will not restrict their movement. Make sure to also bring dance / ballet shoes.

This class is recommended for kids over 8 years old.

Kids Basic Drawing with Dori (Ages 5-8)

      Join artist/educator Dori Stickles for this easy drawing class to develop better drawing skills.  The target age range is kids at 5-8 years old.

     We will explore line, shape, form, texture, light, shade, perspective and composition with a variety of fun subject matter.

Required supplies: 

     Students will need to bring a 9x12” sketchbook with at least 50 pages and #2 pencils, erasers and Crayola Super Tips markers.

The beginner-style class will go over the basics of high school debate along with how to write debate cases and arguments. This class will not require too much work, but your student is still expected to keep up with the workload. Students will also be expected to follow instructions and participate in activities.

鲁凡石 (Jimmy) 是FAIRVIEW中学高三学生,有十几年的乐器学习和演奏经验，初中三年一直是学校管乐队和爵士乐队 (BAND, JAZZ BAND) 的主吹手并在爵士乐队的毕业汇演中担任最后曲目的唯一独奏(SOLO)。高中阶段将继续在校行进乐队 (MARCHING BAND) 进行为期四年的学习和演奏。

招生对象：7岁以上。

小学五年级开始需要进入乐器选择和学习，如果您打算让您的孩子进入Band或者您的孩子已是Band中的一员，做为木管乐器(WOODWIND)的一种，葫芦丝的学习会给您的孩子在吹奏气息，指法，技巧，视奏和音乐理解方面打下一个扎实的音乐基础。

 所谓技不压身，多会一种乐器，多一种可能。
